The photo of the the baby turtle was taken by Alexi, a repeat guest and friend, on November 28, 2006 at Playitas beach in Manuel Antonio. This is the second year in a row that our guests have witnessed the hatching of a turtle nest in Manuel Antonio, not a very common occurence here in Manuel Antonio, but a very good sign that turtles are nesting here once again. The Quepoa Indians, original inhabitants of this area of Costa Rica, built turtle traps which can still be seen in Manuel Antonio National Park.
