Selvatura Park ’s latest addition is now open to the public, a must see for anyone visiting the Monteverde area!

The center features biologist Richard Whitten’s world class educational exhibits “Jewels of the Rain Forest”, the largest private entomological exhibition anywhere in the world!

Whitten has combined natural history and art in a unique format which inspires visitors to appreciate these wonderous creatures from a holistic perspective, totally different from that usually encountered.

Visitors will receive a guided tour to learn about arthropod biodiversity – worldwide – with special emphasis on the remarkable, fantastic, diminutive creatures of the Monteverde area and Costa Rica.

Our auditorium video production “One of a Kind Rain Forest Wonders” presents intimate live footage of Costa Rica’s most bizarre and beautiful small camouflaged creatures which you may have seen of missed seeing in the forest.

No rain forest experience is complete without knowing “What’s there?” Our educational center illuminates and explains this marvelous micro-cosmos.
